Alive and well!
Wow, y’all. That was some kind of weekend. If you saw my last post about Colette’s brush with heatstroke, then you’ll know it started off hairy enough! Fortunately, it looks like her case of overheating was fairly mild since she was cooled off immediately and she is 100% back to normal. Hooray! She even has a new sign- she can definitely say “more” in American Sign Language. Trouble is, I don’t always know what she wants more of…!
As soon as we got her back on her feet, Colby and I were both taken down by a crazy case of food poisoning on Sunday! I can’t even express how glad I am that Colette didn’t have any of what we were eating. We think it was the black beans since it was the only thing we ate in common. Normally I give those to Colette, but this time I gave her pinto instead. Seriously, food poisoning kills babies, people. It’s downright terrifying! We spent yesterday on the couch taking turns taking care of Colette. Sunday was a very long night indeed. I think we barfed ourselves inside out until mornin’!
All I can say is, ya don’t know how awesome your health is until it’s gone. Also, I am very, very, very glad to have mine back! Oh, and Colby and Colette’s as well. Thanks for all the well-wishing and hope to see all you cuties in the near future! I need some fun times after all that crazy!
