Funny, they talk about the potential wealth of mining bonanzas in Afghanistan as being some sort of concession for the American people who are angry about the war.  As though the promise of an as of yet un-mined trillion-dollar cache is going to mollify those of that mindset.  ”Hey guys, it’s totally worth it!  Look what we found!!!”  Actually, I’m made more angry by that sort of rhetoric.  No amount of gold is worth the blood in my opinion.
