Me: ”Yes, Colette, you are a GIRL.”
Colette: ”GIRL!”
Me: “Yes! And Mimi is a GIRL, too. How about Daddy?”
Colette: “BOY!”
Me: “Right! Good job! Daddy is a boy! Who else is a boy?”
Colette: “Ummm…”
Me: “What’s Arj? (Her grampa)”
Colette: “A chicken!”
HAHAHAHAHA!

Colette: (walking up to take a bite of my quinoa pudding) ”Mmmm! Pancakes!”
Me: (on phone, whispering so as not to interrupt conversation) “Pudding.”
Colette: (wide eyed, now also whispering and clearly excited about our secret) “Pudding!”

Daddy: “Look, baby I made you a hot chocolate!”
Colette: (Takes a sip, begins wailing) “Nnnnnoooooo!”
Me: “What’s the matter, honey?” (Trying not to laugh at the huge chocolate mustache she is now sporting)
Colette: “SMOOTHIE!” SMOOOOOTHIE!!!!”
Me: ”You want a smoothie”
(wailing continues)
Colette: (Very pitifully and loudly) “YES!”
