Simple Pleasures, #15
I know, I know. I obviously don’t keep my promises of doing this blog daily. You try finding time every day in between the toddler screaming for milk and raisins and dollies and, oh, she just crapped her pants again…
Anyways, let me tell you something I really enjoy! This week, the evenings went thusly:
Evening 1) Hey, whaddya know? The thermostat didn’t come on all night long!
Evening 2) Wow, I think I’ll open a window!
Evening 3) Hey, I’m gonna open all the windows and turn on a fan!
And tonight… we have le windows closed and shall enjoy a thunderstorm that brings in a nice cold front. Okay, it’s set to be quite evil indeed, but considering that it was 80 degrees the last three days INTHEMIDDLEOFJANUARY I’m kinda amused that the weather is just that crazy. I mean, the low tomorrow is something stupid like 17. Did y’all hear what I said? It was 80 here today! You know what I wanted to do? Just give the weather a hug all weekend long. That’s why I spent Friday afternoon at the park with my kiddo and friends, Saturday afternoon at the grand opening of a brewery (which I highly recommend doing when you are NOT knocked up since it is 83% less fun that way), and Sunday afternoon and evening in a friend’s backyard lettin’ the kiddos undress themselves and having menfolk make BBQ for the ladies. A midsummer night’s eve… in January!
